From there you will be driven 3 hours to Charaudi, the put-in point, where a crowd of friendly local people eagerly wait to watch the proceedings. Once at Charaudi, the crew will prepare the rafts, after which you will head towards the river for a safety talk and some lessons on how to use paddles. After that, you will start your rafting trip during which a number of Class I to Class III rapids are encountered (ratings are all given on the international rating scale). Two hours down the river, at 12pm, you will encounter a beach with strange shaped boulders that resemble sculptures, and on this beach you will have lunch. An outdoor lunch by the river is always an enchanting experience. It will also give you a break from paddling, and some time to take in the scenery. After lunch, you will continue down the river and encounter Trishuli gorge. Trishuli gorge is narrow and has a very steep wall which causes the river to accelerate as it goes through it. Naturally, the rapids here are more ferocious and also more frequent. At 3pm, the river rafting trip ends and you will be transfer to our Tented Camp where we have a campfire bbq party. Rest of the night we spent on tented camp.
After breakfast we transfer to Jalbire with is one hour drive from our camp. After reaching jalbire we walk for about 20 minutes to reach up to the “Lamo Jharana” the longest waterfall which is about 95-meter high. This is one of the longest waterfalls in this region.
There are about 5 waterfalls which are about 20-40 meters high. Depending upon the water level, experienced guides will help you for canyoning. If the weather is good and the water level is okay, you can enjoy canyoning in all five falls, but if the water level is high than normal, guides will only allow you to do canyoning in one waterfall.
Guides will brief you about the canyoning – what to do, what your position should be while abseiling, how to handle the rope while abseiling, what to do if you slip during abseiling, and other important things.
After briefing, guides will suit you up with the canyoning gears, i.e. harness, safety helmet, and wet suits. After gearing up, we are ready for canyoning. You can swim for a while before starting canyoning.
