If you wish to skip rafting, we can arrange extra day in Chitwan national park instead. We will leave our big luggage in our private van and just take packing enough for 1 night which we will spend in Tented Camp. Following a safety training and outfitting with the appropriate gear, depart from neighbouring Damuli (about 1.5 hours from Pokhara) and cooperate as a family to manoeuvre through the water chutes and channels. Travel through the Nepali countryside, which features terraced rice fields, small towns, waterfalls, suspension bridges, men fishing and women washing clothes, as well as a remote canyon encircled by a wildlife-rich jungle. The river has mild current, and the rapids are of medium difficulty. The river is not so cold even if you get wet! Spend the evening along the river on a lovely sandy beach, building a tent. Relax in this secluded area next to the roaring river while being encircled by mountains that seem to be just a few feet away.
