After breakfast our trail goes along the banks of Dudh Kosi River. On the trail, you will cross five suspension bridges, the last one being the highest of all. The first village on the trail is called Tok Tok (2,760m) from where you can have excellent views of Thamserku Peak (6,608m). The trail slowly ascends towards a small agricultural project farm called Chhamuwa. Continue climbing up to Monjo (2,835m), the starting point of Sagarmatha National Park. Sagarmatha National Park was established in 1976 and it spans approximately 1,148 sq km of area. We have short break for arranging permit and signing in. After checkpointing our trail head towards Jorsale (2,740m) and then to Larja Dobhan (2,830m). Cross the fifth hanging bridge and slowly climb up to the view point where you will get your first glimpse of Mt. Everest (8,848m). You can also see Mt. Nupste (7,879m) on the right side of Mt. Everest. After a couple more hours of trekking, you will reach the streets of Namche Bazaar, the biggest Sherpa village on the trek route. It is a beautiful village surrounded by snow-capped mountains. There are plenty of stores for trekking gear, bars, cafes and ATMs. You will Stay at Namche Bazaar for the night.
After breakfast, we will hike to the Hillary Memorial view point to see the statue of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and the spectacular panoramic view of snowcapped mountains. From here, you can see the mountains such as Nuptse (7,861m), Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,414m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Thamserku (6,608m), Kusum Khangkaru (6,367m) and Kangtega (6,685m). Stop by the ancient monastery of the region and check out the Yeti skull. You must pay 250 NPR to see the Yeti skull. Then, make a stop at the Hillary School. Continue towards Khunde village (3,840m) where there is Khunde hospital and a monastery. Stop by the Khunde hospital to say hello to the resident doctor and get an overview of the facility and the medical services they provide. Slowly descend to return to Namche. If you have time and energy, you can walk around the streets of Namche to check out the shopping, restaurants, cafes and talk to the lovely Sherpa and Rai locals. There is also a mountaineering museum and Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC) in Namche. Stay at Namche for the night again.
Enjoy your breakfast in the Himalayas before we start trekking to Dole; another small and magnificent village of this region. The trek starts with short climbing before we reach the army camp on the top of Namche Bazaar. Then the trek is flat until we reach Kyanjoma. You can rest you legs with a view of huge Adablam mountain for a little while. The trail to Gokyo Lake and the trail to Everest Base Camp separates from this area onwards. We follow the trail on the left, that will takes us to Gokyo Lake whereas if we had taken right hand side trail we would have ended up at Everest Base camp . From Kyanjoma, we will start climbing uphill with views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kangtega etc. It is a pleasant walk with far range of scenic observation of the mountainous summits. Once we reach Mong, the trail will again take us through downhill steep walk till we reach Dudh Koshi where our arrangements for our refreshments will be waiting at our lodge. Once we cross this small village we will again walk gentle uphill trail crossing beautiful villages before we reach Dole (4200m).
The trail starts with a gentle ascent but as usual we will be walking in front of breathtaking views. We may need to ascend slowly as due to high altitude region walk. The trail cuts through a scenic settlements like Lhabarma (4,330m) and Luza (4,360m) followed by charming views of Dudh Koshi valley and some villages in the horizon. Machhermo is the last town of this kind before we reach Gokyo, the place where people in Khumbu region made their first sight of Yeti in 1974 AD.
Today is yet another important day in our adventure journey. Gokyo, renowned location for several fabulous high-altitude lakes in the region which ultimately channels Dudh Koshi river from Cho Oyu is also known as the best place for viewing Himalayan surroundings. The route offers excellent downhill sight of the valley and on otherside Kangtega and Thamserku mountain view at the top. Once we ascend higher the sixth highest Cho-Oyu mountain will look within reach of flex of our arms. We will then leave behind the Gokyo lake named Longpongo (4720m) and reach to the second one named Taboche Tso (4790m) which is a bigger lake than first where we can see Himalayan duck swimming in the freezing lake. Further forward from there we will reach to the similar elevation of Ngozumba glacier passing the third lake, Dudh Pokhari: from where it will further amaze us with its excellent sceneries from high elevation lakes Today we shall walk for 5 to 6 hours with accommodation at local teahouse with a 360 degree Himalayan panorama.
Our trek begins early Morning towards Gokyo ri as to be mesmerized by morning spectacular view of the location. Gokyo Ri (5,360m) is known for its awesome views of popular mountains in the Everest region. Gokyo Ri is simply an amazing viewpoint for snow-capped peaks like Mt Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8475m), Lhotse(8501m) and other peaks like Thamserku(6808m) and so on. Hiking to this viewpoint for sunrise or sunset is undoubtedly magnificent. The walk is about 3/4 hours from Gokyo Lakes. Once we reach the top we will spend some time to relax we thenl descend to Gokyo Lakes to our teahouse again. After Breakfast, we continue our trek to Thaknak aka Dragnag. The trail includes mostly flat and gentle downs, so it is pretty easy. Most of the time we will be walking around or over the glaciers with a magnificent view an unavoidable imminent giant Tabuche and Cholatse peaks to impress.
It is our one of the toughest days, Cho La is one of the high passes of this region and it may slippery due to ice route. It is steep climbing until we reach the top of Cho La Pass with a quite narrow trails along the way so it is highly recommended to take extra caution and vigilan with decorative prayers flags the peaks of the Mt. Cholatse and Mt.Tabuche over the clouds. If required please ask for an assistance from guide as at the top, trails are really narrow and may feel difficult to walk. Once we continue on further, we will have next view of some villages at the horizon. The trail after the pass is mostly downhill. In the afternoon it can be slippery due to melting ice/ snow because temperature from the shining sun. As we reach Dzongla the views of Cholatse and Tabuche are still giant, the area small with only a few lodges so the service may find very basic.
After breakfast our trail climbs up the rough terminal moraine of Khumbu Glacier. This area has rows of stone monuments built in memory of Sherpas who died in an avalanche during the 1970 Japanese expedition on Mt. Everest including Babu Chiri Sherpa, a 10-time Everest summiter and Scott Fischer who died in 1996 Everest disaster. While crossing the ridge from here, you will have great views of Mt. Pumori (7,165m). Continue to climb up to the north over rough moraine to arrive at Lobuche (4,910m), a summer village with several hotels. We will stay at Lobuche for that night.
We will enjoy a hot breakfast in Lobuche before we start hiking to Gorakshep; one of the major places in our adventurous dairy. The majestic mountains will be following us all the way, this trek however does not consist of any steep climbing but be difficult and tiring due to high altitude walking. We will be conquering 4,900 meters to 5,300 meters on this day. Once we reach Gorakshep after a short hike, we will store our belongings at the lodge before lunch and brief break before we start hiking for Everest Base Camp. The route from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp includes numerous short ranges that we will need to get across. Exercise extra caution while walking on a slippery surface and the area with small stones. Don’t forget to enjoy the breathtaking views of Everest, Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse along with several other peaks and on some lucky day you may also witness avalanches on the other side of Khumbu glacier which one of the biggest glaciers in the world. Once we reach the Everest Base Camp, you can take your time to enjoy the moment. After finishing our activities around the base camp, we will return back to Gorakshep through same trail and prepare for another day.
(Note: Today we will have early dinner, and go to bed early as the very next day, we will start trek early morning to view sunrise and Mt Everest from Kalapathar)
Kala Patthar is a small peak at an altitude of 5,545m. Most trekkers climb up Kala Patthar to catch the sunrise and to get the best views of Mt. Everest. You can see Mt. Everest from several places on the trail, but the best of all is only from Kala Patthar. we start our trek at 0500 in the morning so layer yourself well, ve a snack or two and carry a head lamp. The ascent up the peak is demanding especially as it can be very cold (-20c or lower), windy and sometimes snowy. Once you reach to the top, you will be rewarded with the magnificent views of Himalayan giants such as Mt. Everest (8,848m). Nuptse (7,861m), Pumori (7,165m), Chagatse, Lhotse (8,414m) and countless others loom all around you. Descend to Gorakshep (5,140m) and we will enjoy some good breakfast, check out from our lodge and Follow the trail with gentle descent to Lobuche (4,910m) and slowly go up towards Pheriche. Overnight at pheriche.
Trek along the Imja Khola river towards Tengboche (3,930m). Make a stop at Tengboche (3,860m) to visit the biggest monastery of Khumbu region, enjoy the location and get to know the monks and their lifestyle. We then resume trek by Slowly descend for about 2 hours towards Phunke Tenga then Climbing up to arrive at Khyangjuma (3,550m). Take a break in Khyangjuma. Trek uphill for 2 more hours to get to the Namche (3,440m). Overnight in Namche.
Most of our walk today will be on the trail going steep downwards. You will cross the suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags above the gushing Dudh Kosi river. The views of open plains, interacting with local himalayan flora, fauna and rhododendron tree filled forest beautifully blooming at the spring as well as snow covered peaks to enchant your soul once again. Overnight in phakding
Enjoy the leisurely walk on the last day of the trek and love the slow ascend towards Lukla (2,840m). Celebrate the victory of accomplishing the trek with a beer or two and stretch those sore legs. Overnight in Lukla.

In Kathmandu, we use range of our 4 and 5 Star Accommodation including Holy Himalaya Hotel within a Walking distance of Thamel or Similar (Upon Availability).

The older style tea houses will help you experience more Realistic era on the subject, how daily life runs in this region and which may not be an identical to your everyday practice, but considerably reasonable for the location. We always make sure the basic hygiene of the vicinity is always monitored and maintained to an acceptable standard. The hub of the teahouse is the dining room; usually decorated with colourful traditional rugs sometimes with a fire pit or heater (some lodges may charge a fee to put the heater on). Most teahouses sell snacks and other essentials such as tissues, soap and toilet papers. Almost all lodges have electricity, but it is not wholly reliable, and lighting may not be bright enough to read, carrying a torch is essential. Electrical charging facilities are generally available only in the dining room (charged at approx. Rs 150-350 per hour per device). Many of the lodges use solar generated power system so sometimes there may not be enough electricity for produced for all of your devices. Many lodges have Wi-Fi installed these days, but the internet speed may vary with some areas working very well but in other parts slow and temperamental.
The Accommodation facility is arranged on a Twin Sharing Basis. If you are travelling on your Own you will be paired up with someone of the Same Sex. In some of the Lodges in Higher Altitude, the Occupancy may have to maximize to utilize the Space by Providing Multi-Bedded Rooms.

Toilet Papers are not provided so you should bring your own.(Please dispose the Wastage in the bin provided – do not put it in the bowl). If there is not a flush handle available, there will be a container of water to pour down. In the Higher Altitude there high possibilities of getting the Water Frozen so if the Water Container is empty (or frozen) either refill it or ask the lodge wait staff.
Hot shower facilities are available in some teahouses for a price and in most of the places; a hot shower means to supply a bucket of hot water, enough to wash your body.
Standards of Cleanliness are very basic in Higher Altitude lodges. During the Peak Trekking Season and winter, the Conditions may get out of Control. So please report any problems that may arise to your Group Leader. Be Very Attentive in your personal hygiene management. Standards of cleanliness vary especially in the peak trekking season and in winter when the water freezes at night. FOODS IN NEPAL
In Major Cities of Nepal like- Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan there’s a variety of Choice of all tastes and Budget whereas the menus in the tea houses are Traditional Dhal Bhat and European Cousins. Vegetarians do not need to worry as they are well catered in Nepal. We reckon our Trekkers to put extra care around while choosing the meals around the Trek House. Dhal Bhat is the staple diet in Nepal and comes in many different forms but generally comprises some curried lentil dhal and meat or vegetables, some rice, and a pickle/chutney. Another popular snack is momos; a type of Nepalese dumpling, fried or steamed, filled with meat or vegetables.Although meat is available in the teahouses, we advise against eating it on trek. The meat has often been carried in the heat from lower altitudes for several days before reaching the lodges and can cause stomach upsets or illness. Germs can also be spread by handling dirty money - we recommend using hand sanitiser.
Meals on Trek: Allow approximately US$30-US$40 per day for meals, snacks and drinks in the lodges.
There are many fine restaurants in Kathmandu and you should allow approx. US$15 for lunch and US$20 for dinner. Drinks extra. Nepal caters very well towards vegetarians and vegans with almost all restaurants having a veg section of the menu. If in doubt, please check with your tour leader.
Your tour leader will be able to direct you towards restaurants that are known to have better hygiene, especially in tourist areas where they are travelling with our groups regularly
SOME TIPS THAT WILL HELP YOU STAY WELL WHEN EATING IN NEPAL INCLUDES:
- Stick to Restaurants and street stalls busy with locals - local families eating there are a good bet.
- Wash your hands before eating (most restaurants will have a hand basin or bathroom) or use a Sanitising hand gel
- Give yourself a few days to get used to local food, especially spicy food.
- If in Doubt, Stick to the Veg Meal
- Avoid salads and peel fruit to Avoid eating skin that may be Washed in Local Water
- Steer Clear of ice unless in Higher end Restaurants
- Drink more Chai, Eat More mo-mo's
DRINKING WATER
Staying hydrated is important when undertaking any physical activity but particularly so at altitude where it is generally recommended to drink at least 3-4 litres per person per day. We strongly encourage you not to buy bottled water on trek as this contributes to the growing problem of plastic pollution in Nepal’s trekking areas.
All teahouses will provide cold water free of charge, if requested. Although this should not be drunk untreated, we recommend that you bring a reusable bottle with a wide opening (Nalgene or similar) with you and use a SteriPEN to treat it with. A SteriPEN is a handheld UV water purifier – small, lightweight and battery powered so easy to pack for a trek. In Nepal’s trekking regions most of the bottled water isn’t strictly ‘mineral water’ anyway but is UV treated, so it’s exactly the same technology. It’s quick to use, far more effective than purification tablets, and the water is ready immediately. It’s fine to use a SteriPEN on non-boiled water so long as it isn’t cloudy or full of sediment (which is uncommon in these regions). SteriPENs are widely stocked on Ebay, Amazon, outdoor shops and other online retailers; look for the latest models but avoid USB charging ones. Better still, a SteriPEN will pay for itself over the course of the trek and you won’t leave behind a single plastic bottle – you will end up spending the same or even less than you would on bottled water, plus you can keep it for future trips.
If you prefer not to invest in a SteriPEN, the teahouses also sell boiled water for approx. Rs150-350 per litre (the price increases the higher you trek) which should not require treating. This is also perfect for a bedtime refill as it can double up as a Hot Water Bottle.
